Her ülkede inşaat sektörü, ekonomik yapı içerisinde ayrı bir yere ve öneme sahiptir. Yüzlerce çeşit mal ve hizmet üretimi ile olan doğrudan bağlantısı ve yoğun iş gücü kullanımı ve sosyo-ekonomik refah düzeyine olan katkısı, bu sektörün ülke içerisinde önemli yere sahip olduğunu göstermektedir.
İnşaat sektörünün 2002 yılında GSMH içindeki payı yüzde 4,2 iken, bu oran 2003 yılında yüzde 3,6 olarak gerçekleşmiştir. Sektör 2002 ve 2003 yıllarında sırasıyla yüzde 4,9 ve yüzde 9,0 oranında küçülmüştür. İnşaat sektörü kriz sonrası ortaya çıkan ekonomik durgunluk döneminden 2003 yılının ilk dokuz ayında önemli ölçüde etkilenmiştir. 2003 yılının son çeyreğinde sektördeki küçülme tersine dönmüş ve 2004 yılının ilk çeyreğinde büyüme hızı, sektörün değişime geç cevap vermesi nedeniyle, aynı dönemde GSMH yüzde 12,4 büyümesine rağmen yüzde 2,9 olmuştur.
Sektörün bu özelliği nedeni ile, dünyada ekonomileri duraklamaya giren birçok ülke öncelikle inşaat sektörünü canlandırarak ekonomilerinin güçlenmelerini sağlamışlardır. Bunun en çarpıcı örneği İkinci Dünya Savaşından sonra yanmış yıkılmış Almanyaʼnın inşaat sektörüne öncelik vermek suretiyle ekonomisini güçlendirmiş olmasıdır. Sektör bu yüzden EKONOMİNİN LOKOMOTİF SEKTÖRÜ SAYILMAKTADIR. ARKON İNŞAAT 2001 yılında ticari hayata atılmış inşaat sektöründe faaliyet gösteren genç ama geçmişteki değişik sektörlerden elde ettiği ticari ve sınayi birikimlerin yeni şirkete aktaran bir kuruluştur.
ARKON İNŞAAT, başarılarının yanında; toplum yararına olacak bütün sosyal sorumluluk projelerinde; üretmeye, ve var olan projelerde de yer almaya özen göstermektedir.
2008 yılında beklediğimiz olumlu gelişmelerin devamıyla,başta ülkemiz olmak üzere tüm dünya ülkeleriyle birlikte barış, refah ve huzur dolu günler yaşayacağımız ve yine tüm çalışanlarımızın katkılarıyla, kalıcı başarılarımızla adımızdan söz ettirerek mutlulukları paylaşacağımız bir yıl olmasını diliyoruz.

TARİHÇEMİZ
Grup şirketlerimizden Arkon İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., 2001 yılında inşaat sektöründeki faaliyetlerine başlamıştır. Kurulduğu yıllar itibariyle ülkenin içinde bulunduğu zor ekonomik koşullara rağmen istikrarlı büyümesine devam eden şirketimiz birçok projeye başarıyla imza atmıştır. Şirketimiz özellikle anahtar teslimi akaryakıt istasyonu, köprü, konut, iş merkezi dolayısıyla altyapı ve üstyapı inşaatlarında uzmanlaşmıştır. Her geçen gün büyümeyi hedefleyen Arkon İnşaat, başlangıçta belirlediği ilke ve değerlere sadık kalarak ve SEÇ-G (Sağlık, Emniyet, Çevre ve Güvenlik) kurallarını titizlikle uygulayarak daima başarılı projelere imza atmayı arzulamaktadır.
